In making Convexity winemaker Steve Matthiasson expresses the unique character of the Napa Cabernet. To showcase that quality the Long-Term Wine Company selects the best vineyard sites and superior grapes from Napa Valley.
Aromatics of bramble flower, white pepper and succulent plum. On the palate, the aromatics continue with fleshy black cherry and marionberry accents. This wine is balanced; depth without heaviness, and a clean finish. This focused and poised Cabernet fans out in depth and breadth with a long mineral finish.
What We Say
In our humble opinion the traditional Napa Cabs can be a bit bold and a bit overpowering. But this gem of a wine is altogether different, typically picked weeks (if not months) earlier than the rest of the region, this Cabernet Sauvignon is what the New Wave of wines is all about. The lower alcohol and more restrained wine making make for delicious and intriguing which will turn everything you think you know about big red wines from Napa on it's head. A must try!!
